# Notations of Decimal Numbers

This page collects the notations of decimal numbers with the practice of the notation census.

Floating point numbers notations vary by the usage of alphabet of digits, the direction, the decimal separator and the thousands separator.

### Arabic - Saudi Arabia and some provinces

The math book shows some examples about decimal Arabic context in page 12.

### Spanish

In Mathematics for Applied Science book, the example represents decimal in Spanish language.

### English

In Algebra book we find the decimal fraction in English context.

### Dutch

The Dutch book shows the examples which represents decimal in page number 72 .

## Decimal Point observations

### Arabic - Saudi Arabia and some provinces

In Saudi math book for grade V we find in page 60 an example shows the decimal point in Arabic context (the book uses comma instead of point).

### English

Algebra book shows the decimal point in English context.

### Spanish

As found in Mathematics for Applied Science book, the example represents $$pi$$ and it uses comma instead of point.

### German

The German math book shows the decimal point in the $$pi$$ example.
Find it in page 103.

### Dutch

In page number 72 the Dutch book shows a lot of examples which use the decimal point.
